My name is Becca Bowen Lau. I’m a married dog mom of two. I live on the east side of Milwaukee and in my free time I enjoy traveling, doing projects in our condo, and watching 90 Day Fiancé.
I have a full-time “weekday job” in event marketing for a tech company. This business is what sustains me creatively and brings me joy. While it seems insane - I love a full plate and busy schedule.
My Style
I’ve been professionally photographing people and weddings since 2017. What started as a way to document my travels turned into a business, seemingly overnight. As I have evolved, so has my style. Over the last few years, I’ve leaned into documentary style wedding photography - like personal photojournalism. I’ve become less interested on curating the moments and more focused on finding and capturing as the day unfolds. There will always be posed moments - family portraits, group shots, cake cuttings - but I want 90% of my galleries to feel like stills from a film.
